Adding a New Client
Learn how to add a new client to your CleanOps system
Overview
Clients are the companies or individuals you provide cleaning services to. Each client can have multiple sites (locations), contracts, and jobs associated with them.
Step 1: Open the Add Client Form
There are two ways to add a new client:
- Click Clients in the sidebar, then click the Add Client button
- Use the quick action menu (+ icon) in the top navigation bar and select New Client
Step 2: Enter Basic Information
Fill in the client's core details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Client Name * | The company or individual's name (e.g., "ABC Corporation", "Smith Residence") |
| Client Type | Categorise the client: Commercial, Residential, Government, or Other |
A unique Client Code (e.g., C0001) is automatically generated when you save.
Step 3: Add Contact Information
Enter details for your primary contact at this client:

| Contact Name | The person you'll liaise with (e.g., "John Smith") |
| Primary email for correspondence | |
| Phone | Landline or main office number |
| Mobile | Mobile phone number for urgent contact |
Step 4: Enter Address Details
Add the client's business or billing address:
- Address Line 1 - Street address
- Address Line 2 - Suite, floor, or building name (optional)
- City - Suburb or city
- State - Select from the dropdown (NSW, VIC, QLD, etc.)
- Postal Code - Postcode
Step 5: Configure Billing (Optional)
Set up billing preferences:

| Billing Email | Separate email for invoices (if different from main contact) |
| Payment Terms | Number of days for payment (default: 30 days) |
Step 6: Add Notes (Optional)
Use the Notes field for any additional information about the client, such as:
- Special requirements or preferences
- Key account information
- Internal reminders
Step 7: Save the Client
Click Create Client to save. You'll be taken to the client's profile where you can:
- Add sites (cleaning locations)
- Create contracts
- Schedule jobs
What's Next? After creating a client, you'll typically want to add their sites (locations) and set up a contract.
