Using the Calendar

Visual scheduling and job management at a glance

Overview

The Calendar provides a visual view of all scheduled jobs. You can see daily, weekly, or monthly schedules and quickly identify gaps or conflicts in your team's workload.


Accessing the Calendar

Navigate to Operations > Calendar from the sidebar menu.


Calendar Views

Switch between different views using the buttons in the top right:

View Best For
Month Overview of the entire month, seeing job distribution
Week Planning the week ahead, checking team availability
Day Detailed view of a single day's schedule with times

Understanding Calendar Events

Jobs appear as colour-coded blocks on the calendar:

Scheduled Assigned In Progress Completed Cancelled

Each event shows the client name and time. Click on any event to view full job details.


Creating Jobs from Calendar

To add a new job directly from the calendar:

  1. Click on any date in the calendar
  2. The new job form will open with that date pre-selected
  3. Fill in the job details
  4. Save the job

Drag and Drop Rescheduling

To quickly reschedule a job:

  1. Click and hold on a job event
  2. Drag it to the new date
  3. Release to drop the job on the new date
  4. Confirm the change when prompted
Note: Drag and drop works best in Week and Day views where you can also adjust times.

Filtering the Calendar

Use filters to focus on specific jobs:

  • By Team Member - See jobs for specific staff
  • By Client - View all jobs for one client
  • By Status - Show only scheduled, completed, etc.

Navigating Dates

Move through the calendar using:

  • Arrow buttons - Go to previous/next month, week, or day
  • Today button - Jump back to today's date
  • Date picker - Click on the current date display to select a specific date
Quick Tips

Use week view for planning
Week view gives the best balance of detail and overview.

Check for gaps
Empty spaces might indicate unscheduled sites that need attention.

Review before weekends
Check the coming week's schedule every Friday to catch any issues early.
