Using the Time Clock
Track work hours with clock in and clock out
Overview
The Time Clock allows team members to record when they start and finish work. This data is used for timesheets, payroll, and job costing.
Accessing the Time Clock
Navigate to Operations > Time Clock from the sidebar menu. All team members can access this feature.
Clocking In
To start tracking your work time:
- Go to the Time Clock page
- Select the Job you're working on (if applicable)
- Click the Clock In button
- Your start time is recorded automatically
Clocking Out
When you finish work:
- Return to the Time Clock page
- Click the Clock Out button
- Your end time is recorded
- The total hours worked are calculated automatically
Taking Breaks
To record break time:
- Click Start Break when beginning your break
- Click End Break when returning to work
- Break time is tracked separately and may be deducted from total hours
Viewing Your Time Entries
See your recent clock in/out records:
- Your current status (clocked in/out) shows at the top
- Today's entries are displayed below
- Use Timesheets to view your full history
Common Issues
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Forgot to clock in | Contact your supervisor to add a manual time entry |
| Forgot to clock out | Contact your supervisor to correct your time entry |
| Clocked in to wrong job | Clock out and clock back in to the correct job |
| Time shows incorrectly | Check your device's timezone settings |
For Supervisors: Managing Time Entries
Supervisors and administrators can:
- View all team members' time entries
- Add manual entries for forgotten clock ins/outs
- Edit incorrect entries
- Approve or reject time entries
- Generate timesheet reports

Make it a habit to clock in as soon as you reach the job site.

Record your breaks to keep accurate time records.

Review your time entries at the end of each day to catch any mistakes.
